This week we celebrated my first Pongal! Usha Pati made delicious pongal which I really enjoyed!

We left India for Singapore on Jan 8th. We got a business class upgrade so I had a really nice time on the flight!
Jan 9th was Ruku Pati's 80th birthday! We went to the South Bridge Road temple and then to Annalakshmi restaurant for dinner...It was so nice celebrating my great-grandmother's 80th birthday with her in Singapore! It was at the restaurant that I sat for the first time independently on the high chair!! And had a nice dinner :) See me sittnig nicely there... |

This is the second week of my stay in India.
Sat Dec 30: We returned from Kumbakonam and took some good rest. Sun Dec 31: We conducted the Kanakabhishekam function for Ellu Pati at KG. I met a lot of Amma's maternal relations. Mon Jan 1: HURRAY! It's my 1st NEW YEAR! Jan 1 - 3: We went to visit Jaya Athai, Athimber, Janani Akka and Nandhini Akka at Kalpakkam. We had a nice time there and went to the lovely beach and the nearby Tsunami Park. I had a very nice time! Later that week, we also visited Gurunath mama's house and also to Murali Thatha/Shantha Pati's house...We also went for a nice family lunch to Matsya restaurant to finish the memorable trip! |

This week has been a really eventful week - probably the most busy in my lifetime :)
Sat, Dec 23: I left with Daddy and Mummy for India and took a flight for the first time! It was so much fun and Amma says I hardly troubled her in the flight! After reaching Chennai, I saw our KG house for the first time. I also met Achcha, Lachu thatha, Subhi pati, Divya Chithi and Druva Mama for the first time! I loved listening to Lachu Chitappa's "Enta Ruchira Drishu" song :) On 23rd evening itself, I saw Jaya Athai, Athimber, Janani Akka and Nandini Akka! Hurray - finally I got to see them all :) Sun, Dec 24: I went to meet Gurunath Mama, Kathy and Nalini akka. On the way back we met JD Mama and family. In the evening Kal chithi joind us from Solapur as well! In the evening I went to meet my Great Great Grandmother (Ellu pati)!!! We took a 5 generations photo - awesome right?! Mon, Dec 25: We went to Tirupati and I got my head balded (that's my new look on the photo to your left!)...Dad was very sad that I would be losing my silky hair - but after getting balded, he thinks I look even cuter :)) On the way back, we went to Tiruchenur too. Lachu Chitappa and Subhi chithi gifted a gold chain for me. Tue, Dec 26: We rested for a day after a busy day at Tirupati. Wed, Dec 27: We left for Kumbakonam on 27th night...And the cool thing was that I boarded an Indian train - the Rockfort Express - for the first time! The coach was airconditioned and very comfortable. I had a lot of fun jumping up and down on the upper seat :) Thu Dec 28: We visited Vaideeswaran Temple where I had my second tonsure done. In the evening we went to Kodavasal - my mom's maternal side ancestral home and had a good time there. Fri Dec 29: We visited Thirukarugavur, Agara Mangudi (dad's maternal side ancestral home), Tiruvaiyaaru, Brihadeeswarar temple, Trichy REC, and Trichy Malakotai..A hectic but fun trip! |

This week we kept an Thanga Ratha Ubayam at the Perumal temple to celebrate Ruku Pati's 80th tamil birthday in advance. It was pouring cats and dogs but with HIS divine grace the function was done well!

For the rest of November and early December, I had a lot of good fun with Kumar Thatha, Ruku Pati, Seenu Thatha, Usha Pati, Dad, Mom and Mali Aunty. It's so nice to see everyone shower so much love on me! Ofcourse that's because I am such a cutie - right?! ;) |

The key highlight of this week was that it was Mummy and Daddy's 3rd Wedding Anniversary!! Daddy, Mummy and I went for a photoshoot where Naazer uncle took lots of casual snaps of all us playing! They have come out so nicely! In the evening, we went to the Holiday Inn Tandoor with Thatha and Pati and had a really nice time there! Love you daddy and mummy!

On 21st Oct, I celebrated my first Diwali!! Mummy and daddy bought me a really nice Pavadai! And I wore it during the day. I also put my new gold chain and gold bangles! Bhaskar Peripa, Nirmala Perima, Soum Aunty, Maddy Mama and Bhavna Mami also joined us for lunch. Usha Pati made some delicious items for lunch! In the evening we went to the Ceylon road temple, where we had given a saree to be adorned on Ambal. After that we went to see the Diwali lighting, came home and burst crackers! It was so much fun! I can't wait to grow up and burst crackers myself!

Month 6 - Week 1 (Saturday October 14 2006 - Friday October 20, 2006)
This week my kollu thatha and pati (Kumar Thatha, Ruku Pati) and Seenu Thatha joined us from India to see me! I am thrilled to be able to play with them and spend time with them!

This week we celebrated Usha Pati's birthday on 7th Oct! It was so much fun. We went to Shahi Maharani and had a fabulous dinner with some good music in the background.
On 9th Oct, I got my last dose of DPT vaccine! And daddy says this time also I did not cry when getting the injection! Yaaay! |

This is another milestone week for me! I have started to swim on the bed on my own! (neenjifying!) I did that on 5th Oct late night - when I started usnig my feet effectively to move forward. Hurray - Now it's going to be fun moving around! And I can't wait to crawl :)

This week was daddy's birthday on the 24th September! Mom planned so many surprise gifts for daddy...And in the evening we had a nice family time in the terrace. You can see the pictures in My Album. It was so much fun! And with daddy - I also got to wear a new dress and also got a new friend - Marty the Monkey :)

Now that I have finished 4 months, mummy has started giving me rice cereals for one feed. She is using the cute little Mickey Mouse spoon! I am beginning to like the rice cereal already!

On Saturday I went to Ashraf uncle's son Zayaan's 1st birthday celebrations! I met lot of daddy's friends there. It was so much fun!
On 11th, I had my 2nd jab of DPT vaccine and the 2nd dose of Rotarix oral drops. Daddy says this time I did not even cry when the doctor put the injection! Hurray - I can now withstand pain :) Fortunately I did not develop any fever after the jab. On 15th, I finished 4 months!! YEEEA! Usha Pati made special rich fruit cake for me and we cut the cake! Daddy and mummy have gifted me a lovely gold chain with an Om pendant. It's so pretty! Thank you daddy mummy..I love you! |

On Saturday Bhaskar Peripa and Nirmala Perima came to visit us.
Monday 4th Sept is Jaya Athai's birthday. We called Kalpakkam and wished Athai a happy birthday! On Monday, Amma also resumed her work. She is now going on a part time basis until end of the year. So she goes in the afternoons from 1 to 6pm Mondays to Thursdays. Usha Pati and Mali aunty have told that I have been a good girl and don't trouble them much during the afternoons! So I guess I am living up to my "GooGirl" title :)) (hee hee) Guess what!! I crossed a major milestone in my life on 6th Sept! I TURNED OVER ALL BY MYSELF! It's amazing...Now I can flip over whenever I want! I love it and I am going to do it over and over again.....Hurray! |

Throughout the last week (from the time Vasu Thatha and Googi Pati returned to India), Amma has been taking care of me fully. And guess what! She has become an expert at bathing me now and taking such good care of me even without any help.
Shefali Aunty, Shruthi Aunty and Aadi came to visit me and gave me lovely toys! We had a good time... On Saturday, we went to Bhaskar Peripa and Nirmala Perima's house and spent the evening with them. It was a lot of fun and they took lots of lovely snaps of me! On Sunday, we celebrated Ganesh chaturthi. Amma made special koyakottai! On Monday morning, my dad's mom Usha Pati came from Bangalore to take care of me! Hurray! Now I have another Pati to play with :) Usha pati also brought lots of sweets, new dresses and a gold chain. She also gave me lovely silver anklets and a small silver cup gifted by Jaya Athai and Ram Athims..Amma put the anklets on me and it's such fun hearing them when I cycle my legs! |

We had a lot of fun with Vasu Thatha and Googi Pati since Thatha had a short visit only. We went to Lake Pierce and Mount Faber. We also visited Satya Uncle and Savithri Aunty's house and I met Pranav and Vageesh there. We also saw Rhythm Kollywood show at the Indoor stadium and I heard fantastic singers like Chitra, Srinivas, Shankar Mahadevan, Harini, Tipu, Anuradha Sriram and best of all enjoyed the comedy of Vivek...
Then on Monday night I was very sad because Vasu Thatha and Googi pati were returning to India. How much I will miss them - especially Googi pati who was there right from the start to take such good care of me...Thank you Googi Pati..I love you sooooooooooooooo much...Come back soon pleeeeease. |

Wow! I finish 3 months this week on the 15th! Appa bought a special almond cake for me! And we also celebrated Kitchu's birthday on the same day :)) Googi Pati (that's what I call Jayashree pati) made lots of sweets - ofcors I could only see them but not taste them :(
On 15th, I also took my first DPT vaccine and also the Rotaro Virus oral drops. Fortunately I did not get any fever though Amma says I was quite groggy for 2 days! On 16th, Vasu thatha came to see me all the way from Nairobi! And he bought such lovely dresses for me and lots of sweets also! He also showed me this new "Kottaprandu varadu varadu" game! I love it when he moves his hand to my face! |

Hurray! On 7th Aug, I broke all records by sleeping for the longest time - From 11pm to 7am! So looks like I am an adult now :)

Dad, mom and Pati are enjoying my latest habit - lifting my shirt while playing! Apparently it is believed that traditionally when mothers had their delivery at their parents' house, the lifting of the shirt indicates that the baby is now ready to pack her bags and go back to her dad's house! Ofcourse for me, I have been with daddy all along! Yipee!
On Friday, mom celebrated the Maa Valakku function. We went to Perumal temple and I prayed to Umachi...We had a lovely darshan! |

This week I have been religiously searching for my companion in sleep - my fingers :) I am still trying to figure out which finger will be the easiest to suck...Hopefully I will find out soon!
Now that I have completed 60 days, I have started going out more! We have done a lot of shopping at places like Thomson Plaza, Tampines Mall, Suntec, Parkway Parade and needless to say Mustafa! Wow - there's so much to see in this world! |

On Saturday July 15th, I celebrated my 2nd month birthday! And guess what - Daddy and mommy bought me a lovely gold bracelet (see the photo) - and they say its adjustable so I can wear it till I am 7 years! |

Hurray - This week I got my new Pram! It's a sleek bright pram and now I can sleep in peace while mom and dad go out :) I still like to cuddle with mom or dad..but then I need to be nice to them also right?! This week Mali aunty joined us from Srilanka to help in taking care of me! Welcome aunty... |

Hurray! This week was a truly happening week! So much to update you :) In the true spirit of Singapore, we did a lot of shopping this week since Maith Chithi and Ammamma were ready to leave for Chennai. Some places we went to were Thomson Plaza, Woodlands Causeway Point and Parkway Parade. On Monday 3rd July, I finished 50 days in this world! Daddy brought home an amazing Macademia Nut Icecream Cake from Haagen-dazs! And best of all, to join us in th celebration were Payal Aunty and Lavina Aunty (who are mummy's best friends from school days!). Payal aunty had come for a week from the US to attend their classmate Baljit's wedding. We had a lot of fun at home... On 6th July, Ammamma and Maith left for Chennai :( How much I will miss them...Thank you both for taking such good care of me in my first few weeks... On 7th, Rita aunty left for Srilanka..We are now waiting for the new maid to arrive (which will only happen next week).... |

This week was Father's day! And mummy and Maith Chithi helped me create such a beautiful hand made Father's day card which had my foot prints on it! My daddy just loved it! Thank you Amma and Chithi for helping me give my first gift for daddy! On Friday, daddy got me my Singapore Permanent Residence card. Friday is also the last day of confinement for mummy! On Saturday we will all go out! Hurray! I can finally get to see the world :) By the way, our house maid Rita Aunty informed us that she wants to go back to Srilanka! So the whole house is in a flurry to get an alternate maid...Let's hope we can find a suitable alternative... |

This week I finish 1 month in this world! How time flies! We celebrated my 1st month by cutting a cake. I wore a new pink frilled dress which mummy says looks really cute on me! And best of all - Daddy and mummy have gifted me an entire personal website - drishyaa.com!! Now I can connect to all my family members across the world through this website! |

Ammamma and Maith Chithi came to Singapore from Chennai on Monday May 22nd. We celebrated my 1st week's birthday by cutting mango cake that daddy brought for me! On Thursday May 25th, we celebrated the Punyakavachanam function at home which was done by Raja vaadyaar. In the evening on the same day, we celebrated the Thottil function. My parents, chithi and pati decorated the thottil beautifully and Amma put me on the thottil. I also wore the new ornaments gifted to me - Gold bangles, anklets and ring gifted by Usha Pati and Seenu Thatha, A beautiful gold necklace given by Vasu Thatha and Jayashree Pati and a beautiful gold necklace gifted by Appa and Amma. |

On Saturday and Sunday May 27th/28th, parents had an open house where they invited all their close friends to come home and give me their blessnigs! We had a lot of visitors especially on Sunday. I got a lot of lovely gifts from everyone! On June 2nd, I got my new Indian passport! Hurray! I am now an Indian Citizen - Jai Hind! |

Maith Chithi turned 20 this week on June 5th!! We had a great time celebrating her birthday! This week was also Seenu Thatha's birthday on 6th June. We called to wish him. Daddy started going back to work from this week...How I miss him :( |

Amma got admitted to the Mount Alvernia hospital on May 14th. I came into this world on May 15th 2006. I spent 4 days in the hospital and came home with Amma, Appa and Jayashree Pati on Friday May 19th. The portrait to the left was taken on 16th May at the hospital..I am 2 days old :) |
